Con@ctivity
Con@ctivity allows a rangehood to react to the change in settings of a Con@ctivity-enabled cooktop installed below.
For example, activating the cooktop automatically switches on the rangehood lighting, selecting a booster function increases the power setting on the rangehood and when the cooktop is switched off, the rangehood automatically runs on for up to 15 minutes to clear the air.
Difference between the two systems:
Rangehoods with Con@ctivity require installation of two separate XKM modules to enable communication via the standard household wiring (supplied separately but included with every Con@ctivity combination order*).
Rangehoods with Con@ctivity 2.0 work via wireless communication (wireless dongle supplied with resp. rangehoods).
Either way, new purchases of a Con@ctivity-enabled cooktop together with any Con@ctivity enabled rangehood will allow you to benefit from the unique user benefits of the hands-off automatic Miele Con@ctivity rangehood and cooktop communication system.
